Bar Trouble
An Alleycat Crew Short
The bar was noisy, smoke curling under the low lights, and Kash and his crew had carved out a corner booth for themselves. Drinks in hand, they looked almost normal—four friends out for a night on the town. No fugitives to chase, no job to plan. Nobody chasing them or bothering them.
Almost nobody.
Two local toughs swaggered up to their semicircle booth, grins a little too confident. They barely gave Kash a glance—their eyes locked on the three women.
Nura and Luna flanked Calynn on either side, all three radiant in the glow of the booth’s light. Kash couldn’t even blame the guys. If he were them, he wouldn’t have looked at himself either.
“Evening, ladies,” one said, leaning his arm across the back of the booth. “Can we buy you a round?”
Luna’s eyebrow arched. Nura just sipped her drink, unbothered. Calynn, though, smirked.
Kash leaned back, tugging a grin at the corner of his mouth. This was going to be a show.
“And what’s your expected return on investment for this round of drinks?” Calynn asked sweetly.
The taller man grinned. “We’ll see where the night leads.”
“I think that means they want to watch,” Calynn said, glancing between Nura and Luna.
“Ugh,” Luna groaned. “Why do they always want to watch?”
“Have you seen us?” Nura giggled, then reached across the table to cup her best friend’s cheek. The two Oogan beauties leaned in and shared a slow, tender kiss. Nura left it there, but Luna—ever the mischief-maker—took it further. She grabbed Calynn’s breast with one hand and kissed her too.
The men froze. Slowly, their eyes slid toward Kash.
He lifted his drink and smirked. “Don’t look at me—I’m just the chauffeur.”
The men blinked. “Wait… what?”
“Exactly what it sounded like,” Calynn said, sliding her arm around both Luna and Nura with a satisfied grin.
“You’ve got the wrong equipment,” Luna added, raising her glass in mock-toast. “Better luck next galaxy, boys.”
“Wait,” Nura giggled. “We gave them a show… do we still get drinks?”
The taller man opened his mouth, shut it again, and looked at his buddy. Both of them backed away, mumbling something about “uh… enjoy your night” while tripping over each other on the way to the bar.
The second they were out of earshot, the booth erupted in laughter.
“I almost feel bad for them,” Nura said, wiping tears from her eyes.
“You shouldn’t,” Luna replied, smirking. “They were begging for it.”
Calynn leaned back, smug. “Ladies, I do believe we’ve just created a new urban legend. By tomorrow, half this town will be whispering about the three gorgeous women in the corner booth—and their… chauffeur.”
Kash tipped his glass. “Best job I’ve ever had.”
⏳ Nura and Luna? I wonder who they could be?
Maybe it has something to do with the timer counting down on the website…
